A little story - how it all started:
It all started in February 2014 in a small warehouse at the back of a house, where work began for the configuration and construction of the first small workshop.
The interior space was 13 sq.m and the exterior 12 sq.m, a total of 25 sq.m. The work lasted six months.

In this small space
the first experiments were carried out for the design and manufacture of the first interior objects.
In this laboratory we worked for about 8 months without having started operations as a new very small company.

But we were given the opportunity
to learn to work with new materials such as wood and metal and discover the demands and difficulties of the production process.
In July 2015
we moved to a larger space of 100 sq.m in the industrial area of Moschato and after a month, the company started operations with the distinctive title "Krokos Art". On the first floor of an old industrial building we created a larger workshop with wood and metal processing machinery and a fully equipped metallic paint shop.
From 2015 to 2017, series of interior objects were created with wood and metal materials such as:
A. Table lamps.
B Complete range of table lamps with grouped electrical structure and CE certification.
C. Table clocks and large wall clocks.
D. Interior small objects such as platter disks, lockers, glass holders, etc.
At the beginning of 2017, the first ashtray for cigars called "Folleto", made of solid wood, was designed and produced.
From 2017 to the beginning of 2020, the first collection of cigar accessories (cigar ashtrays, cigar holders, cigar trays) in bronze, aluminum and wood was designed and completed.
The aluminum ashtrays had an electrostatic paint finish.

the company was renamed to "Marios Design" and in 2022 we moved to a larger space in Tauros area where the design and production company of our products is located until today.
The philosophy of the new Workshop
with the contemporary design and the result:
By combining the traditional hand-made process and the contemporary design we have created a fully equipped workshop area with small and medium machines and a special paint area for metal and wood, with the sole aim of developing in the best possible way the following important parameters:
- The techniques of handmade process of creation and development of the raw material we use.
- Translation of creativity and innovation into a new approach to raw material processing techniques.
- Harmonious union of design and handmade process to create objects of high aesthetics and value that combine tradition with modernity.
- Integration of these techniques in contemporary design to create numbered small collections of interior objects. Production process techniques and raw material costs are high to produce masterpieces (masterpieces in place).
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: Encouraging collaboration and the exchange of knowledge between artisans, designers and creators from other arts, for the exchange of ideas and perspectives with the sole aim of creating new categories of collections of utilitarian objects.
- Combination of digital design technology and production process techniques to create interior utilitarian objects that can be deservedly called small works of art (objects of desire).
- Concepts such as form, function, aesthetics and sustainability are redefined in such a way as to produce innovative ideas that are based on the basic principles of design but lead to new production development and process techniques.
- Creation and development of products with an emphasis on aesthetics, functionality and user experience. These processes contribute to product uniqueness, design quality, craftsmanship, customization and sustainability.
